Job summary

Rubicon Water is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build software behind technology transforming water management in irrigation networks worldwide. You’ll work on Java and Angular applications across new product development, enhancements and production support.

This hands‑on role lets you influence architecture, solve complex problems and mentor others within a cross‑functional Agile DevOps team, while contributing to CI/CD and automated testing.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong Java development experience, ideally with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience with Angular and modern web applications.
• Solid SQL and relational DB skills (Oracle preferred).
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Proficient in CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Good understanding of software design principles, patterns and architecture.
• Mentoring or supporting junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain Rubicon's software products using Java and Angular.
• Develop robust, maintainable applications across the full software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to software design, architecture and technical decision‑making.
• Work in a cross‑functional Agile DevOps team.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across environments.
• Improve reliability, performance and quality of software used in production.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Mentor and support other developers and improve engineering practices.
