Job summary

Saab Australia Pty is expanding its software engineering team in Melbourne, offering full-time roles with flexible, hybrid work options. You will develop mission-critical software for naval and ICT projects, contributing across architecture, coding, testing and deployment in a fast-paced defence environment.

We seek 4+ years of experience, strong languages (Java, C++, Python) and tools (Docker, Git). Australian Defence NV1 clearance eligibility and ITAR familiarity are valued, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Security clearance eligibility (Australian Defence NV1) and ITAR access familiarity.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and design patterns.
• Experience with Linux-based development and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and maintenance of mission-critical software across the full lifecycle.
• Specify, design, implement, integrate, test and deploy software components.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers and Stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
• Support releases and ongoing maintenance; drive process improvements.
