Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to mission critical software across the full development lifecycle within a fast-paced defence environment.

You will join the Systems Delivery Group and collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers and stakeholders to design, implement, test and deploy high-quality software, while supporting continuous improvement of development processes. Flexible hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance – NV1.
• Ability to access ITAR-restricted information.

Responsibilities

• Participate in system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and Stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Support software releases and ongoing maintenance activities.
