Job summary

REA Group in Melbourne or Sydney is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and maintain data-driven mortgage lifecycle products within a collaborative team.

You will work with AWS cloud, Node.js/TypeScript, data pipelines and modern data tooling to deliver scalable solutions while ensuring security and reliability. The role offers hybrid working and a culture focused on performance and care.

Qualifications

• End-to-end ownership of the software product lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, release, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambdas, RDS, Dynamo, S3, EC2).
• Experience building ETL systems using technologies such as Airflow or SSIS.
• Experience building solutions with Node.js, TypeScript, and serverless environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test and deploy data products using a variety of technologies and platforms.
• Maintain and enhance existing products, including bug fixes and BAU feature improvements.
• Ensure the reliability, availability and security of our systems and data.
• Play a key role in developing new services and modernising our existing technical infrastructure.
