Job summary

REA Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement and maintain data-driven products across the Mortgage Solutions team in Melbourne.

You will work with cloud services, databases and modern JavaScript/TypeScript stacks to deliver high-quality solutions that improve the mortgage lifecycle. You will own the software lifecycle end-to-end, optimize data pipelines, ensure system security, and contribute to evolving our cloud-native infrastructure in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• End-to-end ownership of the software product lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, release and production support.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambdas, RDS, Dynamo, S3, EC2).
• Strong T-SQL and stored procedure skills; database design and data pipelines experience.
• Experience building ETL systems with Airflow or SSIS.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and serverless environments.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and authentication schemes.
• Ability to analyze data and APIs to diagnose issues and gain insights.
• Familiarity with BigQuery and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with build pipelines, Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
• Passion for data and keeping up with data technologies.

Responsibilities
