Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer for permanent full-time opportunities in Canberra and Brisbane.

You will design, develop and maintain high-quality software in an Agile environment, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Applicants must hold an NV1 Defence Security Clearance or higher and have strong C# and WPF experience, plus solid OOP and testing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software development or a similar role.
• Strong experience developing applications using C# and WPF.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design.
• Experience with unit testing and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software in accordance with established standards and best practices.
• Participate in all Agile sprint activities, including planning, estimation, development and reviews.
• Contribute to software design, task decomposition and effort estimation.
• Develop and execute unit and system testing to ensure software quality and performance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.

The successful candidate must hold a NV1 security clearance or higher.

As The Ideal Candidate You Will Bring

• Experience developing software for Defence or other secure, mission-critical environments.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
