Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking a Senior Social Worker in the Child Development Service in Toowoomba. You will support children and families navigating developmental concerns within a collaborative multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and strengthen wellbeing.

You will deliver psychosocial assessments, partner across services, and lead quality improvements while mentoring team members and contributing to service development in the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in child and family psychosocial assessment and case management.
• Ability to lead quality improvement, supervision or workforce development activities.
• Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary and community-based environments.
• Commitment to compassionate, family-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Delivering comprehensive psychosocial assessments to guide timely support for children and families.
• Partnering with clinicians, carers, schools and community services to create coordinated care pathways.
• Leading service improvements that enhance quality, efficiency and family-centred practice.
