Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking a Senior Social Worker for the Child Development Service to help children and families access support for developmental challenges. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to promote wellbeing, participation and connection in everyday life.

You will conduct psychosocial assessments, partner with clinicians, carers, schools and community services to create coordinated care pathways, and lead quality improvements while providing mentoring and clinical guidance.

Qualifications

• Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Strong experience in child and family psychosocial assessment and case management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and community-based environments.
• Demonstrated capability to lead quality improvement, supervision or workforce development activities.
• Experience/advanced training in child development, family-centred practice or clinical leadership is a plus.

As a Senior Social Worker in the Child Development Service, you'll help children and families access the support they need to better understand and navigate developmental challenges. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to positive outcomes that strengthen wellbeing, connection and participation in everyday life.

• Delivering comprehensive psychosocial assessments that guide timely support and improved outcomes for children and families.
• Partnering with clinicians, carers, schools and community services to create coordinated pathways of care.
• Leading service improvements that enhance quality, efficiency and family-centred practice.
• Providing professional guidance, mentoring and clinical expertise that strengthens team capability and care delivery.
