Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service invites applications for a Social Worker position based in Rockhampton or Yeppoon. The role supports inpatients, outpatients and community settings, delivering psychosocial assessments, advocacy and interventions with a focus on holistic care and equity.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to research and training, and lead improvements that enhance patient flow and service quality within the department.

Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised Social Work degree, be eligible for AASW membership and maintain ongoing professional development.
  • Use your full scope of practice to provide complex psychosocial assessment, advocacy and interventions across the continuum of care.
  • Lead quality and service improvement initiatives, from identifying opportunities for change through to implementation and evaluation.
  • Build strong relationships with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, while contributing to research, education and training.

Our Social Work Department services hospital and community settings in Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton, making a meaningful difference to people and families across Central Queensland.

About the role:

This role can be based in Rockhampton or Yeppoon.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
