Job summary

News Corp Australia Sydney is seeking a Senior Social Lead to drive social strategy, creative ideation, and hands-on video editing across key CommBank content streams. This is a 12-month max-term contract with potential for permanence, in a true hybrid role.

You’ll set high-level strategy while editing on the tools, collaborating with editorial, design, and marketing teams to elevate the brand across platforms.

Qualifications

• 7 years of digital and social content experience in agency, publisher or brand settings.
• Hands-on editing with professional video tools to produce platform-first assets.
• Ability to translate brand objectives into high-performing social concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead social strategy and creative ideation across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
• Direct hands-on video editing of long-form video, podcasts, and interviews into reels and cuts.
• Atomise content from print and editorial into platform-native formats.
