Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Senior Social Lead to drive social strategy, ideation and hands‑on video editing across key CommBank content streams. This is a 12‑month max term contract with potential to transition to permanent.

The role is hybrid: set the strategy while directly editing assets for platform‑first cuts and reels using Premiere Pro/Adobe Creative Suite, collaborating with editorial, design and marketing teams to elevate the brand.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7 years of digital and social content experience within an agency, publisher, or brand setting.
• Proven Editing Skills: Strong proficiency with Premiere Pro or Adobe Creative Suite to produce polished, high‑impact video assets independently.
• Strategic & Creative Mindset: Ability to translate brand objectives into high‑performing social concepts across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Creator & Talent Direction: Hands‑on experience sourcing, briefing, and managing creator campaigns and executive/talent direction.
• Strong Client Communication: Confident in client‑facing interactions, pitching creative concepts, and collaborating within a multi‑disciplinary content team.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑On Video Editing & Production: Directly edit existing long‑form video, podcasts, and C‑suite interviews into snappy, platform‑first cuts and reels.
• Social Strategy & Ideation: Drive creative concepts across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, turning brand strategies into carousels and native reels.
• Content Atomisation: Repurpose print, editorial, and long‑form content into engaging, platform‑native visual formats.
• Branded Packages & Creator Strategy: Source, brief, and direct influencers while collaborating with media sales on branded social packages.
• Cross‑Functional Integration: Work directly with editorial, design and marketing teams to ensure social content elevates the wider brand.
