Job summary

Huntress is seeking a Security Operations Center Manager to lead a global, 24/7 SOC from a remote Australia location. You will shape processes, staffing, and training to scale operations and drive incident response excellence.

You will collaborate with Product, Support, and Sales to deliver capabilities, mentor analysts, and report on SOC OKRs. This role demands hands-on leadership and strong communication across technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading diverse cybersecurity teams.
• 7+ years in a global 24x7 SOC with Windows forensics focus.
• 2+ years in team lead or managerial roles in MSSP/MDR or IR services.
• Active involvement in information security communities.
• Continual learning of threat actor tradecraft and defense techniques.
• Ability to diagram workflows and create operating procedures.
• Strong communication of technical concepts to varied stakeholders.
• Data-driven approach with data science concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and enforce processes to reduce burnout and increase productivity.
• Manage global 24/7 shift coverage.
• Hold weekly 1:1 meetings with analysts to discuss focus initiatives and progress.
• Develop training programs across Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, Threat Hunting, and Automation.
• Work with Product to prioritize new capabilities for analysts.
• Maintain quality assurance for the designated region.
• Collaborate with Support to streamline SOC workflows for partners/customers.
• Provide technical leadership to SOC analysts.
• Ensure team goals align with Huntress mission and are communicated to stakeholders.
• Develop, track and report Objectives and Key Results for SOC focus initiatives.
• Operationalize new technologies and services Huntress brings to market.
• Participate in public speaking at webinars and in-person events.
