Job summary

Huntress is hiring a hands-on SOC Analyst to detect and respond to cybercrime in a remote Australia setting. You’ll triage intrusions, analyze endpoint telemetry, and work across Incident Response, Detection Engineering, and MDR services while contributing to blogs and talks to share insights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of SOC, IR, MDR, or forensics experience.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, or macOS and malware analysis.
• Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK techniques and threat containment.

Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, respond to, and remediate Huntress platform alerts.
• Review EDR/SIEM telemetry, logs, and artifacts to determine root causes and remediation.
• Perform dynamic malware analysis to extract indicators of compromise.
• Contribute to detection capability improvements and queue hygiene.
• Investigate Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace activity and provide remediation guidance.
• Grow skills through real-world data, training, and responsible use of AI tools.
