Job summary

Big 4 Australian Bank is seeking four senior Snowflake Platform Engineers to design, build and operate an enterprise Snowflake platform in a large, regulated environment across Australia. This hands-on role focuses on architecture, security, automation and production readiness, not development of data pipelines.

Initial 3-month contract with offices in CBD locations; candidates must have banking/financial services background. AWS, Terraform, dbt, Snowpark/Python experience is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Snowflake platform establishment, security and production readiness in regulated environments.
• Experience with architecture, configuration and automation of Snowflake platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Snowflake environments and manage virtual warehouses.
• Manage users, roles, access control and service accounts.
• Maintain platform security and monitor resource usage.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Monitor platform health and provide operational support.
• Support infrastructure automation and data-platform modernization.
