Job summary

Moore Australia is seeking a Senior Accountant to work with partners and business leaders, supporting sophisticated client engagements across audit, tax, accounting and advisory services. You'll prepare financial statements, tax returns, and compliance for diverse clients; contribute to budgeting, forecasting and business advisory projects; build strong client relationships under guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or CA qualification, or near completion.
• 3+ years' experience in public practice accounting.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Reckon preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for a range of entities.
• Maintain high-quality work papers, review general ledger transactions and records.
• Assist with taxation services (BAS, CGT, GST, FBT) and client correspondence.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and management reporting.
• Respond to client queries professionally and maintain relationships under supervision.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through CA/CPA studies and training.
