Job summary

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in SRE, production engineering, or backend engineering.
• Hands-on experience defining and operating against SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Experience responding to high-severity production incidents and improving incident practices.
• Strong cloud fundamentals including Kubernetes/EKS and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability of critical production systems end to end, including instrumentation and performance under real traffic.
• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for key services.
• Improve alert quality by reducing noise and detecting gaps in monitoring.
• Lead high-severity incident response and postmortems.
• Design, operate, and optimize secure, resilient infrastructure with failure-mode considerations.
• Perform capacity and performance analysis through load testing and profiling.
• Improve deployment safety with automated rollback and pre-production checks.
• Manage infrastructure via code, primarily using Terraform.
• Design and ship production tooling to reduce operational toil.
• Run controlled failure testing and chaos experiments to identify weaknesses.
• Collaborate with product teams on production readiness for new services.
