The NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a Senior Sergeant for Lismore to supervise a small team, allocate resources, and meet sheriff’s office operational requirements. The role includes day-to-day supervision, administrative services, and delivering high quality services to clients, including court processes, jurors, and court security.

You’ll lead staff, maintain rosters, manage risk, and collaborate with the Regional Commander and other OICs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Government or equivalent within 12 months.
• Willingness to obtain Certificate IV Leadership & Management on commencement.
• Complete Sheriff’s Officer Recruit Training Program and required certifications.

Responsabilités

• Supervise, mentor, and support team members in their duties.
• Allocate resources to ensure efficient court operations and safety.
• Undertake law enforcement duties in compliance with legislation.
• Maintain records to meet financial and operational guidelines and maintain rosters.
• Provide high-quality services to court users including judicial officers and jurors.
• Build and maintain relationships with court stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Regional Commander and other OICs to assist at other locations.
• Contribute to development and implementation of work-practice improvements.
