Job summary

University of Sydney seeks a Senior Project Officer (Targeted) to lead training resources and workforce development for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The role is 0.6 FTE with a fixed term to June 2028 and flexible location, with regular travel to Lismore.

You will design programs, engage stakeholders, and strengthen Social and Emotional Wellbeing outcomes while contributing to a culturally safe team and environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SEWB concepts and services.
• Experience developing training, education or workforce development.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
• Experience creating engaging learning resources.
• Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver workforce development initiatives for SEWB resources.
• Create practical, culturally responsive learning materials.
• Engage stakeholders to identify workforce needs and solutions.
• Coordinate projects and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Promote training opportunities and support stakeholder engagement.
• Support research and evaluation for continuous improvement.
• Foster partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Contribute to a positive, culturally safe team environment.
