Job summary

Telstra Corporation seeks an experienced Security Engineering – Senior Engineer to shape security controls across solution designs, networks and cloud platforms. You will act as a trusted adviser to cyber, engineering and DevOps leaders, delivering secure, scalable architectures.

You’ll deploy and optimize security technologies (Akamai, Cloudflare, AWS/Azure), lead DevSecOps initiatives, and mentor teams while driving continuous improvement and risk treatment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience deploying Application Security across web apps and platforms.
• Strong DevSecOps background with automation and IaC.
• Proven ability to configure and optimize Web Application Firewall (WAF) and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to protect applications using cloud and AI-based platforms.
• Lead design, engineering, and support of security platforms for web apps.
• Guide application owners with integration and troubleshooting.
• Perform architecture reviews, configuration, and deployment of security solutions.
• Evaluate products and contribute to roadmaps and standards.
• Drive readiness and lifecycle management of security platforms.
• Provide incident response planning with Cyber Security teams.
• Serve as SME and technical lead for application security.
