Compas Pty Ltd is recruiting for a Security Analyst specializing in digital forensics, incident response and data analysis within a complex Australian Government environment. You will work with Nuix and Elasticsearch to examine electronic evidence, manage large datasets and deliver investigative findings.

The role requires current TSPV clearance and is Canberra-based, with an ASAP start and a contract through 30 September 2027. Applicants must meet security and data handling standards.

Job Title: Security Analyst | Digital Forensics & eDiscovery Support sensitive investigations within a complex Australian Government environment as a Security Analyst specialising in digital forensics, incident response and advanced data analysis. Work with specialist eDiscovery tools, including Nuix and Elasticsearch or equivalent technologies, to examine electronic evidence, manage large datasets and deliver investigative findings.

Location: ACT
Contract Duration: ASAP start through to 30 September 2027
Security Clearance Requirement: Current TSPV clearance
Closing Date:10:00am, 13 November 2026

Essential Tasks:

• Coordinate, contribute to and lead digital forensic and incident response investigations, analysing electronic evidence using specialist eDiscovery applications.
• Prepare and process large evidentiary datasets for ingestion, indexing and searching while maintaining data integrity.
• Apply advanced data analysis techniques using Nuix, Elasticsearch or equivalent technologies to support investigative findings and reporting.
• Manage sensitive investigative information in accordance with relevant legislation, data-sharing requirements, policies and operational procedures.

Key Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in digital forensics, data analysis and supporting complex investigations.
• Strong capability with forensic eDiscovery tools, including Nuix, Elasticsearch or equivalent applications.
• Experience managing large evidentiary datasets, maintaining data integrity and producing analytical findings.
• Understanding of relevant data-sharing legislation and investigative procedures. ICT certifications, application specialisations or a Certificate IV in Government Investigations are desirable.
