Job summary

NEC Australia Pty Ltd in Perth seeks an experienced Secure Network Engineer to keep enterprise networks fast, secure and reliable. You will lead changes, respond to major incidents, and implement security across data centre environments.

The role spans a modern tech stack with broad stakeholder collaboration to ensure resilient and compliant networks. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of enterprise networking experience, strong Cisco SDA and Check Point Firewall expertise, and hands-on skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of enterprise networking experience.
• Extensive experience with Cisco SDA platforms and Check Point Firewalls.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks and SD-Access environments.
• Experience with network management systems and regulatory standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication with technical and management stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects and change requests for Cisco SDA networks across enterprise environments.
• Respond to high-severity incidents (P1/P2) within SLA.
• Implement security measures including firewall policies and authentication.
• Remediate active vulnerabilities across network and security environments.
• Monitor network performance and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs for optimal functionality.
• Maintain engineering case notes and ensure compliance with ITIL and customer practices.
