Job summary

Accenture in Canberra seeks an experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale security across data centres, cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will work with Cisco ACI, Check Point, and Palo Alto technologies in multi-vendor environments, providing hands-on engineering and technical leadership to ensure secure network infrastructure and compliance.

• Design and implement secure network architectures across data centre, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Perform firewall policy reviews, security assessments, and NAT policy optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support network security solutions across data centre, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Perform firewall policy reviews, security assessments, rule optimisation, and platform health checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, security, routing, segmentation, and application connectivity issues.
• Configure and manage Cisco ACI environments (tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, contracts, L3 Outs).
• Implement, maintain, and optimise Check Point firewall policies (access control, NAT).
• Deploy, configure, and support Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama environments.
• Apply security best practices and maintain client compliance.
• Participate in change, problem, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects and service delivery to support design and outcomes.
• Create and maintain technical docs (HLDs, LLDs, SOPs, runbooks).
