Job summary

The Australian Psychological Society Limited is hosting a Senior School Psychologist position in Canberra. The role involves advanced psychological assessment, intervention, and case management for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families across ACT public schools.

You will work autonomously in complex clinical and educational settings, applying evidence-based practice within a culturally safe framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a fully registered psychologist.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Identified position under Section 27(4) eligibility; strong connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced psychological assessment, intervention, consultation and case management in ACT public schools.
• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams to strengthen culturally responsive practice.
• Contribute to service development, professional learning and strategic initiatives.
• Support critical incident response and stakeholder engagement.
