Job summary

The Senior Social Worker role is identified for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities within Clinical Practice, Engagement and Wellbeing Support Services. You will provide high-level social work services to Indigenous children, youth and families facing complex challenges affecting engagement in learning.

Key duties include psychosocial assessment, evidence-based interventions, case management, and collaboration with schools, families, and community partners to improve wellbeing

Qualifications

• This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified position.
• Registration under the Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Act 2011 is required prior to commencing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level social work services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families facing complex social, emotional, wellbeing and educational challenges.
• Undertake complex psychosocial assessment, provide evidence-based interventions, case management and consultation.
• Collaborate with schools, families, community organisations and government agencies to improve student wellbeing and educational outcomes.
