Job summary

Yokogawa Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Lead or Senior SCADA Engineer for Adelaide portfolio. You will lead end-to-end SCADA project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with PMs to ensure on-time, within-scope outcomes.

You will bring 5+ years in SCADA delivery, strong client stakeholder management, and deep knowledge of SCADA architectures, IT/OT infrastructure, and industrial protocols. This role offers growth within a global automation leader in Australia and beyond.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SCADA project delivery and leadership of project teams.
• Experience working in structured project environments with PMO frameworks and Project Managers.
• Ability to manage client stakeholders across all project phases, including executive level.
• Experience managing project scope, variations and change control processes.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA architecture, configuration and integration across industrial applications.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure for SCADA environments (AD, web servers, virtualization, remote access).
• OT security principles including DMZ, Purdue/ISA-95, network segmentation, OT/IT boundary management.
• Knowledge of CI Server and GE iFIX is advantageous.
• Ability to balance technical rigour with commercial awareness and risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end SCADA project delivery from design to testing and commissioning.
• Lead SCADA delivery teams across multidisciplinary resources.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on plan, schedule, budget and scope.
• Manage client stakeholders and serve as technical point of contact.
• Identify and control project scope, variations and change requests.
• Drive problem-solving and risk mitigation.
• Provide technical guidance on SCADA issues and escalations.
• Ensure compliance with client design standards and industry regulations.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers to grow capabilities.
