Job summary
L3Harris Technologies in Australia seeks a Senior Specialist Applications Engineer to support JP2008 SATCOM capabilities across Australia. You will deliver training, engineering, configuration, and sustainment for networked SATCOM systems, engaging with engineers, managers, and customers to meet contractual requirements.
The role requires 10+ years of SATCOM experience, a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, and current NV1 clearance; occasional travel and field installations are expected as
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with drawings interpretation
- Minimum 10 years' experience in military SATCOM or related engineering
- Proven field engineering experience with SATCOM equipment installation and maintenance
- Current SECRET NV1 Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Install, operate, inspect, repair, and maintain SATCOM equipment at customer sites
- Provide training and sustainment support for SATCOM networks
- Develop test plans and diagnose system anomalies
- Support Help Desk with timely technical advice
- Lead field activities and coordinate with engineers and customers
- Identify defects and propose hardware/software improvements
