• 3+ years in technical sales, account management or business development.
• Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronic engineering.

My client is a global OEM of industrial automation solutions. They are seeking a sales professional to develop customer relationships and grow their business across Melbourne.

The role combines account management and new business development, selling technical solutions into food manufacturing, general manufacturing, OEMs, packaging and quarrying.

You will work with customers to understand their operations, identify opportunities and coordinate with technical specialists to recommend suitable solutions.

What they are looking for

• 3+ years of experience in technical sales, account management or business development.
• An engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronic engineering.
• Ideally, a background in industrial automation or instrumentation. Candidates with valves or hydraulics experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong relationship development skills and confidence engaging with engineering, maintenance, purchasing and commercial stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to winning business, growing accounts and achieving sales targets.
• Technical curiosity and a willingness to develop product knowledge.
