Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to take ownership of site safety on a landmark high-rise development in Sydney. You will work with an experienced project team to drive safety standards and protect the workforce.

This full-time role requires 5+ years in construction safety, a Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS, and a proactive approach to risk management. You’ll deliver inductions, conduct inspections, and collaborate with subcontractors to maintain NSW WHS compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a safety advisor in construction.
• Strong high-rise commercial building experience on complex or large-scale projects.
• Experience managing high-risk construction activities with subcontractors.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of NSW WHS legislation, construction safety systems and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Drive site safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Review SWMS, risk assessments and project safety documentation.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with Site Managers, subcontractors and project teams to manage safety risks.
• Provide practical WHS advice and support across all stages of construction.
• Monitor compliance with NSW WHS legislation, regulations and project requirements.
