Job summary

Infrastructure Business Growth Pty Ltd in Maroochydore, QLD, is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor for the Stabling Yard and Substation. You will provide senior safety leadership across multidisciplinary stabling-yard and substation delivery, covering civil, rail, electrical and commissioning risks.

Role requires 8+ years in construction HSE, WHS knowledge, and HV safety expertise. Australian experience preferred; relocation packages are available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction HSE with rail/substation exposure preferred.
• Diploma or degree in WHS or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation.
• Incident-investigation training is desirable.
• Current construction induction card and rail/site competencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety planning for high-voltage work, energisation, isolations, arc-flash, lifting, excavation and track access.
• Review SWMS, permits, access arrangements and commissioning plans for each phase.
• Coordinate safety responsibilities through installation, test and energised states.
• Lead incident investigations, assurance and targeted improvement.
• Support emergency preparedness for electrical, confined-space, fire and rail scenarios.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor - Stabling Yard and Substation to provide senior safety leadership for multidisciplinary stabling-yard and substation delivery, including civil, rail, electrical and commissioning risks.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years' construction HSE experience; rail, substation, high-voltage or commissioning exposure strongly preferred
• Diploma or degree in work health and safety or a related discipline
• Strong working knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and principal-contractor obligations
• Formal incident-investigation training desirable
• Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail, site and medical competencies

• Relocation packages on offer.
