Indigenous Business Growth in Maroochydore, QLD, is hiring a Senior Safety Advisor for stabling yard and substation delivery on a major rail infrastructure project. You will provide senior safety leadership across civil, rail, electrical and commissioning activities and manage high-risk environments.

The role requires 8+ years in construction HSE, with preference for rail, substation, high-voltage or commissioning exposure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' construction HSE experience; rail, substation, high-voltage or commissioning exposure preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and principal-contractor obligations.
• Formal incident-investigation training desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead safety planning for high-voltage work, energisation, isolations, arc-flash, lifting, excavation and track access
• Review SWMS, permits, access arrangements and commissioning plans for each phase
• Coordinate construction and electrical safety responsibilities through installation, test and energised states
• Lead incident investigations, assurance and targeted improvement
• Support emergency preparedness for electrical, confined-space, fire and rail scenarios

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor - Stabling Yard and Substation to provide senior safety leadership for multidisciplinary stabling-yard and substation delivery, including civil, rail, electrical and commissioning risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety planning for high-voltage work, energisation, isolations, arc-flash, lifting, excavation and track access
• Review SWMS, permits, access arrangements and commissioning plans for each phase
• Coordinate construction and electrical safety responsibilities through installation, test and energised states
• Lead incident investigations, assurance and targeted improvement
• Support emergency preparedness for electrical, confined-space, fire and rail scenarios

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years' construction HSE experience; rail, substation, high-voltage or commissioning exposure strongly preferred
• Diploma or degree in work health and safety or a related discipline
• Strong working knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and principal-contractor obligations
• Formal incident-investigation training desirable
• Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail, site and medical competencies
