Job summary

Nuage Technology Group is seeking a Senior Rust Front End Engineer in Australia to turn complex, security sensitive workflows into reliable interfaces. You will work with UX, Design, Product, Architecture and Engineering, taking ownership from design to testing, release and production support.

In a largely greenfield environment, you’ll help set patterns for a growing Rust engineering team, using Rust, Leptos, WebAssembly and Tailwind CSS on AWS in serverless architectures.

Qualifications

• Production web apps built with Rust and front-end tech.
• Experience securing public web apps against common attacks.
• Understanding of secure SDLC and threat modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure Rust web applications using Leptos and WebAssembly.
• Lead adoption of secure, AI assisted development practices across UX, product and engineering.
• Translate Figma designs into responsive interfaces.
• Build reusable UI components and contribute to a design system.
• Own features end-to-end including release and production support.
• Set standards for architecture, testing, performance and accessibility.
• Review code, investigate defects and fix root causes.
• Prototype solutions and explain technical trade-offs.
