Countersight, based in Canberra, is seeking a Software Engineer to design and deploy software across cloud, on‑prem, embedded and mobile environments. The role emphasizes security by design, scalable solutions, and close collaboration with clients and teams.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid setup with up to 40 hours per week, and may require NV1 clearance or the ability to obtain it. Applicants should be an Australian citizen and able to meet pre‑employment screening.

Qualificações

• Experience designing scalable, secure software across cloud, on‑premises, embedded, and mobile environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices to ensure reliable deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex deployments and work closely with clients to deliver results.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build software across cloud, on‑premises, embedded, and mobile environments with security by design.
• Integrate and deploy software into complex enterprise environments and troubleshoot deployment challenges.
• Debug complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and craft robust solutions.
• Apply security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, including threat modelling.
• Build PoCs, test harnesses, and instrumentation to validate approaches and iterate on designs.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments to ensure rapid feedback.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high code quality standards.
• Document work and communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and team members.
• Work in small, autonomous teams and continuously expand technical expertise.
