Arup’s Resilience, Security & Risk team is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership across Fire Risk, Dangerous Goods, and Process Safety in Australia, New Zealand and the wider APAC region. You will lead high‑impact projects, mentor engineers, and deliver risk‑based engineering solutions that enhance safety and resilience across facilities and operations.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, prepare complex technical reports and risk assessments, and manage projects

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with Chartered status.
• Significant experience in Fire Risk, Dangerous Goods, or Process Safety.
• Strong capability in risk assessments, compliance reviews, and modelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.

Responsabilités

• Lead and deliver technically excellent Risk & Process Safety projects across Fire Risk, Dangerous Goods, and Process Safety disciplines.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with internal specialists, external design partners, and clients to achieve integrated project outcomes.
• Prepare, review, and sign off complex technical reports, compliance assessments, risk assessments, and engineering documentation.
• Manage projects from proposal through to delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline objectives are achieved.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the growth of the Risk & Process Safety practice.
