Job summary

Sydney Trains is seeking a senior risk professional to lead the development and management of risk registers within a complex, high-reliability environment. The role demands expert analysis of safety and operational risk data and collaboration with the organisation's executives and leadership team.

You will expertly manipulate risk data across multiple software applications and reporting tools and influence peers through clear, data-driven risk reporting and interpretation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a risk-related discipline.
• Experience in developing and managing risk registers in high-reliability environments.
• Ability to analyse safety and operational risk data to inform decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration with executives and senior leaders.

Job description

The role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures.

Key responsibilities

• You’ll have professional experience in the development, management, and application of a risk register for a for a complex, high reliability environment.
• You’ll have demonstrated ability to provide expert level analysis of safety and operational risk data.
• Your communication and collaboration skills will set you up for success in this role, as you will be required to work with and positively influence executives, the senior leadership team and professional peers in relation to the use and interpretation of safety risk reports and data.
• You will have proven ability to accurately manipulate risk data (textual and numerical) within and between different software applications and reporting tools.
