Job summary

Job description

This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement, and experience managing risk in complex project environments.

Key responsibilities

• Supportive Team Environment.
• You will provide expert risk advice, facilitate risk workshops, maintain risk registers and action plans, monitor controls and treatment actions, and ensure compliance with PTA governance frameworks and risk management standards.
• Working closely with project teams, contractors and stakeholders, you will also coordinate business continuity planning, support assurance and audit activities, and drive continuous improvement in risk management practices.

What you need

• Demonstrated experience in risk and issue management, with a strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance requirements, audit processes, and quantitative risk analysis methodologies, including AS/NZS ISO 31000 principles and guidelines.
• Proven ability to lead, influence and support stakeholders across complex project environments, building strong relationships, providing expert advice, and liaising effectively with senior leaders, government agencies, contractors and consultants.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and experience in rail or similar industries, with demonstrated capability as a Lead Auditor/Auditor, strong computer literacy, and the ability to mentor, coach and train others in risk management practices and systems.
