Job summary

RAC Insurance is seeking a Partner – Business Risk & Compliance to lead and develop the Bank's high-performing risk and compliance function in Western Australia. The role partners with business leaders to embed risk controls and manage regulatory obligations across the insurance division.

You will oversee incident management, controls testing and reporting to executives and boards, while advancing a proactive risk culture and practical solutions that align with appetite and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading Line 1 Risk and/or Compliance functions within regulated environments.
• Proven people leadership capability with coaching and performance management.
• Strong experience applying risk management frameworks, standards and principles.
• Sound knowledge of risk and compliance management practices and regulatory obligations.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills for executives, committees and boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Business Risk & Compliance team.
• Embed RAC Insurance's Risk & Compliance Management Frameworks.
• Partner with business leaders to manage risks, controls and obligations.
• Oversee incident management, investigations, remediation and regulatory reporting.
• Enhance the controls assurance framework, including testing and design.
• Coordinate risk reporting for executives and governance committees.
• Support FAR implementation and advise senior leaders.
• Foster a positive risk culture through coaching and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate strategic and operational risk reviews with business unit leaders.
