Job summary

RAC Insurance Pty Limited is seeking an experienced Partner in Risk & Compliance Oversight to collaborate with senior leadership and advance risk awareness and a strong compliance culture across the organisation.

You will lead strategy, perform second line assurance reviews, and advise on risk and regulatory obligations, building relations with regulators and stakeholders. A proactive risk mindset and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in risk or compliance roles within financial services or regulated industries, ideally insurance.
• In-depth understanding of APRA standards, the Insurance Contracts Act, and the General Insurance Code of Conduct.
• Strong analytical capabilities, critical thinking, and effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Tertiary qualifications in risk management, insurance, or a related field (industry memberships a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the RAC Insurance risk and compliance oversight strategy, strengthening a proactive risk culture.
• Conduct second line assurance reviews and drive improvements across all risk areas.
• Oversee and challenge RAC Insurance’s risk profile, ensuring alignment with risk appetites and tolerances.
• Provide subject‑matter expert advice to senior management and deliver timely, insightful reports on risk and compliance performance.
• Build and sustain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulators.
• Lead, coach, and mentor team members to support growth and organisational objectives.
