Queensland Government in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Review Officer to act as a Government Assessor. You will undertake evidence-based decisions to provide financial assistance to victims of crime and identify opportunities to enhance operational policy.

This leadership role requires strong policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to draft clear decisions while operating within the Act and related legislation. Applications remain current for 12 months.

Qualifications

• Undertakes evidence-based decision making in accordance with the Act.
• Deliver quality and responsive services to clients using VAQ resources, policies, processes, systems and technologies.
• Conduct relevant research related to victims of crime and maintain up to date knowledge of the Act and other relevant legislation.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate cultural capability and commitment to inclusive culture aligned with the Human Rights Act 2019 and partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Undertakes complex evidence-based decision making in accordance with the Act.
• Deliver quality and responsive services to clients through VAQ resources, policies, processes, systems and technologies.
• Effective case-management of applications for financial assistance within legislated timeframes.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective VAQ service delivery.
• Provide advice to the Executive Manager on operational policy and legislative issues relating to VAQ service delivery.
• Conduct relevant research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Act and related legislation.
• Represent VAQ at QCAT hearings.
