Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a Principal Resource Geologist in our Mining Advisory group, based in Perth. You will lead complex geological studies across multiple commodities and regions, guiding multidisciplinary teams and advising clients on technical and commercial decisions.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years in metalliferous geology, a geology degree (plus postgraduate qualifications), and strong skills in geostatistics, modelling, and business development.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in a metalliferous environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science majoring in Geology, or a closely related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable.
• Additional study (and/or experience) in project management, risk management, business, or financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end execution and delivery of complex technical geological studies.
• Lead, manage, and mentor multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered to scope, on time and within budget.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex geological data into actionable strategic advice.
• Maintain advanced working knowledge of industry-standard geological modelling and geostatistical software to guide advisory projects.
