Job summary

MESHKI is seeking a Senior Resort Designer to lead the creative direction of our resort offering. You will own the design process from concept to final product, balancing creative ambition with commercial performance across local and global markets.

You will drive seasonal direction, manage fittings, select fabrics and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cohesive, elevated collections that reflect MESHKI’s brand identity and values.

Qualifications

• 7+ years fashion design experience, including resortwear and warm-weather collections.
• Strong portfolio showing creative vision and range-building capability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software and print development.
• Knowledge of garment construction, lightweight wovens and natural fibers.
• Proven ability to translate trends into commercially successful products.
• Experience leading and developing junior team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for senior stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality, fit and finish.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of MESHKI’s resort collections from concept to final product.
• Set seasonal creative direction with mood boards, palettes and prints.
• Drive print and surface design, including artwork direction and colourways.
• Conduct trend research and translate insights into seasonal direction.
• Own end-to-end product development with tech packs and collaboration with Garment Tech.
• Lead fittings and adjust for fit, drape and construction.
• Select fabrics and trims with focus on sustainability where possible.
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Garment Tech and Marketing to align with goals.
• Review weekly sell-through data and shape future design decisions.
• Mentor and develop a Design Assistant within your POD.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Resort Designer to lead the creative direction of MESHKI’s resort offering. This is a senior, hands-on role for a visionary designer who understands how women dress for travel, holidays and warm-weather occasions, and who can translate that into collections that feel elevated, wearable and unmistakably MESHKI.

You will own the resort design process from concept to final product, balancing creative ambition with commercial performance across our local and global markets.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Lead the design of MESHKI’s resort collections from concept to final product, delivering a considered mix of statement and commercial pieces across entry through exit price points.
• Set the seasonal creative direction for resort, developing mood boards, colour palettes, prints, sketches and silhouettes that bring cohesive, destination-inspired stories to life while flattering diverse body shapes.
• Drive print and surface design development, including artwork direction, colourways and placement, to create a distinctive and recognisable resort signature.
• Conduct ongoing trend and market research across runway, travel and lifestyle movements, consumer behaviour and competitor activity, translating insights into seasonal direction and reactive design opportunities.
• Own end-to-end product development, creating detailed tech packs and partnering closely with Garment Tech to ensure designs are translated accurately into final product, on time, on budget and to MESHKI’s quality standards.
• Lead fittings and make considered adjustments to achieve the right fit, drape, finish and construction, with particular attention to lightweight and fluid fabrications.
• Select fabrics, trims and materials thoughtfully, balancing hand-feel, breathability, cost and sustainability, and championing preferred fibres and lower-impact alternatives such as linen, organic cotton and responsibly sourced viscose wherever possible.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Merchandising, Garment Tech and Marketing to ensure resort ranges align with commercial goals, range architecture, seasonal drops and campaign direction.
• Review weekly sell-through data and take accountability for category performance, applying commercial insight to shape future design decisions.
• Lead, mentor and develop a Design Assistant within your POD, delegating effectively, providing regular feedback and genuinely investing in their growth and capability.
• Model a high-performance culture built on accountability, proactive communication and solution-focused thinking.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING

• 7+ years of fashion design experience, including senior-level experience designing resortwear, swim cover-ups or warm-weather collections.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating creative vision, commercial success and range-building capability.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software and print development tools.
• In-depth knowledge of garment construction and fabric properties, particularly lightweight wovens, knits, crochet and natural fibres.
• Proven ability to translate trends into commercially successful product, with a strong understanding of the global resort and holiday dressing market.
• Experience leading and developing junior team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present and articulate design concepts to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on quality, fit and finish.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple drops and deadlines.
