Job summary

Octopus Australia is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to lead and mentor a growing team across wind, solar and storage assets. The role focuses on technical and commercial performance, overseeing contracts, and coordinating across external partners for optimal generation and reliability.

You will drive continuous improvement, implement data-driven decision making, and build strong relationships with regulators, community, and project stakeholders in the Australian market.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience managing portfolios of renewable energy assets (wind, solar, storage).
• Ability to scale systems, processes and operating models in a growing business.
• Experience on Australian NEM-connected projects preferred.
• Contract and project management skills; highly organised and diligent.
• Understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental practices and regulations.
• Commercial mindset with ability to relate technical challenges to investments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor asset managers and technical specialists across a growing portfolio of renewable assets.
• Oversee compliance, safety, and environmental programs at operational assets.
• Develop community engagement strategies in coordination with stakeholders.
• Oversee technical and commercial performance of wind, solar, and battery assets.
• Coordinate complex investigations and cross-functional teams to resolve issues swiftly.
