Job summary

Octopus Australia is seeking a hands-on Asset Manager to oversee wind, solar and storage assets in our Melbourne portfolio. You will drive technical and commercial performance, coordinate with O&M providers, and ensure robust contract governance and compliance across multiple assets.

The role reports to the Assets Lead in Sydney, with Melbourne-based duties, site visits and interstate travel as required. A strong background in renewables and data-driven performance improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with renewable energy projects, especially wind assets connected to NEM.
• Experience implementing operational systems and process improvements in growing organisations.
• tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Promote compliance across health, safety and environment at operational assets.
• Manage day-to-day technical performance across wind assets and coordinate with asset managers and providers.
• Oversee contract governance and procurement, including tender processes for 3rd party contracts.
• Prepare monthly asset and quarterly board reports with insights for decision making.
• Support data-driven decision making through asset performance analytics.
