Our people are key to our success, and as we expand, we’re committed to finding and retaining the right talent to take on the journey. As well as a flexible and fun workplace, we offer competitive benefits including additional leave entitlements, personal & professional development and health & wellbeing programs.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is an opportunity for a senior finance professional to take ownership of the Fund's regulatory and financial reporting framework. Responsible for APRA reporting, external financial reporting and administrator financial accounting, the position provides oversight of regulatory returns and change initiatives, strengthens financial controls across outsourced reporting activities, and supports the ongoing governance of the Fund's Defined Benefit plans.

This role also leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of finance processes and reporting activities.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the Fund’s APRA reporting framework, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely regulatory submissions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and coordinate the implementation of compliance changes.
  • Oversee administrator and other third-party financial accounting providers, including financial controls, governance frameworks and issue resolution.
  • Manage the statutory financial reporting process for various entities, including external audits and year-end financial reporting obligations.
  • Oversee the Fund’s Defined Benefit plans, working closely with the administrator, actuary and internal stakeholders to ensure effective governance and reporting.
  • Support the executive leadership team with ad-hoc commercial projects and strategic initiatives; as well as draft Audit Committee and Board papers.

About you

  • A commercially minded finance manager with strong regulatory reporting and financial accounting experience, you will also bring:
  • 15+ experience in financial accounting, statutory and regulatory reporting, governance frameworks, and financial controls within a complex environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, together with CPA or CA accreditation.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality financial reporting, analyse complex issues, and design robust processes and controls that support financial integrity and compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting critical deadlines.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with demonstrated success identifying opportunities to streamline processes, working with ambiguity and enhance financial controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret, analyse and present complex financial data and insights.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across finance, operations and external service providers.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Experience within the superannuation industry.
  • Knowledge of APRA regulations and prudential standards.
  • Experience working with outsourced service providers.

We are a super fund that has an exceptional work culture, provides a diverse offering in developing our people and you can be a part of it while earning an attractive remuneration package!

We are an equal opportunity employer committed tocreating a workplace that values diversity, equity, and respect for all individuals.
