The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
We have a full time opportunity for an ongoing Senior Regulatory Advisor in the Registration International team. We welcome all applications from any location where we have an Ahpra presence. Reporting to the National Manager - Registration (International), the Senior Regulatory Advisor - Registration plays a pivotal leadership role within Ahpra’s registration functions. You will lead and manage teams to ensure timely, consistent and high quality processing of registration applications in alignment with the Regulatory Principles for the National Scheme, the National Law, registration standards, guidelines, and national organisational policies and procedures.
With a focus on Ahpra’s values to drive high performance, this role provides a point of escalation and technical direction and support to staff to enable performance of the team at the expected level, whilst providing operational support to the National Manager Registration about regulatory activities. This role will present matters for the stream to relevant boards and committees and guide consistent recommendations and decision making for the registration functions.
