Job summary

UGL, Beenleigh, Queensland, is seeking a Signalling Senior Project Engineer to lead the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail project, delivering major rail signalling upgrades and new equipment between Kuraby and Beenleigh.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget and risk; review designs; guide a project team; monitor KPIs; and ensure safety, quality and environmental obligations are met. This on-site role requires extensive rail signalling experience and a current C-class driver’s license.

Qualifications

7+ years of rail signalling experience.
Experience leading a team delivering projects valued $10–$50M.
Develop methodologies to ensure scope and technical compliance.
Experience with short-to-mid-term planning, weekly progress/cost risk reporting, and risk treatment plans.
Engineering degree (Mech or Elec preferred).
Queensland Rail Engineering Statement of Competency preferred.
Review designs, provide constructability input, implement final designs.
Australian C Class Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

Manage scope: upgrade existing signalling and construction/commissioning of new signalling.
Monitor project completion ensuring program, budget, quality, environment, and contracts; take corrective action.
Set up, deliver and complete project; establish relevant systems.
Review designs, schedules, temporary works, method statements and QA.
Assign tasks to team to meet outputs and specs.
Monitor KPIs and productivity vs plan and budget; perform admin duties.
