Job summary

Egis is looking for a technically excellent Senior Signalling Design Engineer to join our Railways and Systems team in Australia. This is an exciting time to join us as we win multiple major projects across Australia and New Zealand.

You will lead independent verification of high-level signalling documentation, mentor designers, produce tender documentation and support clients through design sign-off.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in railway signalling and knowledge of conventional signal design.
• Engineering degree or equivalent with relevant accreditation.
• Experience with Australian railway standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, check, and independently verify high-level signalling documentation and feasibility studies.
• Design and verify trackside signalling infrastructure, train detection, SCADA and interlocking systems.
• Provide technical advice to clients and project stakeholders.
• Produce tender documentation and lead a project design team.
• Test, commission and maintain signalling systems and supporting components.
• Mentor junior signalling engineers and project engineers.
