Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the ANI/NPSCY program in Osborne, SA. You will manage budgets, cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting while mitigating commercial risks and overseeing changes and claims.

You will build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the supply chain to enable successful delivery on Australia’s largest defence infrastructure initiative.

Qualifications

• MRICS status or working towards MRICS (preferred)
• Minimum 7 years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level

• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.

Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia, will play a central role in supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to develop and deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure, site‑wide nuclear licensee development expertise, and nuclear safety leadership.

We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our AUKUS team.

About you

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 7years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft software especially Excel.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
