Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group seeks an EL1 Assistant Director - Quality Management in Majura, ACT to lead quality management, assurance and governance initiatives within a highly regulated environment. You will establish quality frameworks, drive assurance activities and support strategic business improvement outcomes.

You will manage policy and process change, coach staff and build organisational capability, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve controls and document

Qualifications

• Experience leading quality management, assurance or governance functions.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, continuous improvement and compliance frameworks.
• Background in engineering, regulatory or highly regulated environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience conducting assurance reviews, audits or quality assessments.
• Ability to interpret policy, assess risk and provide practical recommendations.
• Experience leading teams, coaching staff and driving positive outcomes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement organisation-wide Quality Management Frameworks.
• Provide specialist advice and guidance on quality management principles and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures and governance documentation.
• Lead assurance reviews, audits and lessons learned activities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Support implementation of change arising from policy, system and business process updates.
• Lead document control functions and oversee quality review processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve document management systems and controls.
• Coach and mentor team members to build organisational capability.
• Analyse risks, compliance requirements and performance outcomes to inform decision making.
• Build productive relationships with stakeholders across a diverse operating environment.
