Job summary

My Guardian, an Australian leading aged care and disability service provider, is seeking a Head of Quality and Compliance to oversee the organisation's compliance framework across Aged Care and NDIS. You will partner with senior leaders to embed governance, risk management and continuous improvement.

Based at our Sydney area head office, you will drive internal audit programs, regulatory reporting, incident investigations and corrective actions, while mentoring teams to meet evolving standards

Qualifications

• Significant experience in compliance, quality, governance or risk within Aged Care and/or the NDIS sector.
• Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS Practice Standards.
• Proven ability to develop and manage internal audit and compliance programs.
• Experience preparing organisations for regulatory audits and external reviews.

Responsibilities

• Developing, managing and delivering the organisation's internal compliance and audit program.
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with Aged Care, NDIS and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Conducting audits of operational practices, policies, procedures, systems and documentation.
• Identifying compliance gaps and working with leaders to develop and monitor corrective actions.
• Preparing monthly compliance reporting and providing meaningful insights to senior management.
• Supporting and coordinating external regulatory audits, reviews and accreditation activities.
• Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring new requirements are effectively implemented across the business.
• Managing the investigation, reporting and resolution of incidents and complaints.
• Conducting root cause analysis and ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
• Developing and maintaining quality assurance and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Supporting organisational risk management and WHS compliance.
• Managing Workers' Compensation return-to-work processes and monitoring business insurance compliance.
• Working closely with People & Culture to identify compliance training requirements and strengthen employee competency.
• Liaising with regulators, auditors and other external stakeholders as required.
• Providing practical compliance advice and guidance to managers and senior leadership.
