Job summary

McMahon Services in Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality across our Building & Construction portfolio. You’ll own ISO 9001 QMS, drive audits, and coach site teams to embed practical quality improvements.

You’ll work with project managers and leaders to reduce defects, improve processes and deliver consistent outcomes across the portfolio, while mentoring Quality Coordinators and Advisors.

Qualifications

• Significant quality management experience within building, construction, engineering or industrial services.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and audit methodology.
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001-certified QMS.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver internal audit programs across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement and application of the ISO 9001 QMS across Building & Construction.
• Support external certification audits and ongoing ISO 9001 requirements.
• Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures and systems.
• Establish quality objectives and KPIs and report on trends.
• Develop and standardise ITPs for Building & Construction.
• Review project ITPs and define hold points and acceptance criteria.
• Lead annual internal quality audits across projects.
• Conduct site and desktop audits and drive corrective actions.
• Own NCR and defects management and root-cause analysis.
• Deliver practical quality workshops and training for teams.
• Mentor Quality Coordinators and Advisors.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve quality issues.
• Prepare quality performance reporting for senior leadership.
• Represent quality with clients, certifiers and regulators.
• Contribute quality input into tenders and project QMPs.
